Get ready for a news channel powered by artificial intelligence.

The world is about to witness the birth of the first AI-based television channel.

Originating from California, United States, Channel 1 promises to function like conventional news channels, except for the fact that the presenters are AI-generated, lacking physical bodies or human essence.

According to the USA Today newspaper, the channel's launch is scheduled for this year.

Channel 1 has already released a promotional video on social media, explaining its functioning - and yes, even the video was created using artificial intelligence.

The digital presenters explain that the channel will cover international affairs, finance, and entertainment.

"In the video, you can see and read our lips, but no one was filmed saying these words. I am powered by sophisticated systems behind the scenes," mentions one of the channel's journalists.

The Californian company used human actors whose features were digitally analyzed and processed to create realistic avatars. In certain situations, the digital presenters will follow a written script and, on those occasions, will use recordings of words spoken by humans, making the broadcasts as authentic as possible."
